Custom Home Electrical Installation in Pleasant Hill, Missouri

Redemptive Electric recently completed the electrical installation and final trim on this beautiful 2,400-square-foot custom ranch home in Pleasant Hill, Missouri. While this home is more modest in size than some of our recent projects, it demonstrates that thoughtful planning and quality craftsmanship matter just as much as square footage.

Built on a spacious rural property with beautiful views and room to grow, this home was designed with the future in mind. From the beginning, the homeowners wanted an electrical system that would serve their needs today while making future expansion as simple as possible.

Lighting That Complements the Finishes

Throughout the home, we worked closely with the builder and homeowners to create an electrical system that complements the home's clean finishes without drawing attention away from them.

The finished interior features recessed LED lighting, decorative pendant fixtures, ceiling fans, stylish vanity lighting, and carefully placed receptacles and switches that blend naturally into the home's design. The shiplap accent walls, custom cabinetry, and warm finishes are highlighted with balanced lighting that creates a comfortable and inviting atmosphere.

A 400-Amp Service Built for a Future Shop

One of the most unique features of this project is the electrical infrastructure that was installed for a future detached shop building.

Rather than installing a standard residential service, we upgraded the property to a 400-amp meter main with dual 200-amp disconnects. One 200-amp service supplies the home today, while the second disconnect has been reserved exclusively for the future shop.

To make that future expansion as straightforward as possible, we installed and capped an empty underground conduit extending from the service equipment toward the planned shop location. The conduit was carefully marked, and its location was documented with the homeowner so it can easily be found later. When the time comes to build the shop, the electrical service can be extended without disturbing the landscaping around the home, digging beneath fencing, or excavating around the meter equipment.

Planning for future needs during construction is often one of the best investments a homeowner can make.

Installing infrastructure before landscaping is completed saves both labor and expense while providing flexibility for future projects.

A Basement Wired for What Comes Next

The unfinished basement was also wired with future finishing in mind.

Lighting, panel capacity, and circuit planning allow the homeowners to finish additional living space in the future if they choose, whether for storage, a recreation room, or additional bedrooms.

Clean Panels and Careful Circuit Planning

As with every custom home, organization and serviceability were priorities throughout the installation.

The electrical panel was neatly terminated, clearly labeled, and designed with room for future expansion. Careful circuit planning and clean workmanship help make future maintenance and additions much easier.
