Redemptive Electric recently completed the electrical installation and trim-out for this beautiful 3,700-square-foot ranch-style custom home with a fully finished basement in Harrisonville, Missouri. From rough-in through the final walkthrough, the project combined thoughtful planning, quality craftsmanship, and several unique electrical features that made it especially rewarding.

Designed for a Custom Home

This home was designed with both beauty and functionality in mind.

Inside, the finished spaces feature vaulted ceilings with decorative wood beams, custom chandeliers, decorative pendant lighting, recessed LED lighting, under-cabinet lighting, and carefully planned lighting layouts that complement the home's architecture without drawing attention away from it.

One unique feature of the project was a dedicated safe room in the basement. We installed dedicated electrical circuits to provide dependable power for that space while keeping the installation organized and easy to service.

This custom home also included a whole-property backup generator system. Rather than supplying only a few emergency circuits, the system was designed to automatically restore power to both the home and the outbuildings whenever utility power is interrupted. Redemptive Electric's role was completing the home's electrical installation while coordinating with the generator system that was installed as part of the overall project.

Solving a 230-Foot Underground Service Pull

One of the largest challenges during construction came before the walls were insulated.

The underground service conduit extended approximately 230 feet from the utility pole across the property to the home's electrical panel. Pulling large service conductors that distance by hand would have required several workers and a significant amount of physical labor.

Instead, we coordinated with the excavation contractor to use a backhoe to pull the rope through the conduit while we fed the conductors from the opposite end. Through planning and teamwork, what could have taken several hours was completed in roughly thirty minutes.

Sometimes the best solution isn't working harder—it's working together.

After months of rough wiring hidden behind drywall, the decorative fixtures finally go up, recessed lighting illuminates the living spaces, under-cabinet lighting highlights the kitchen, and every room begins to reflect the vision the homeowners and builder planned from the beginning.

It's one of the most satisfying parts of building custom homes.
